Regulatory frameworks governing biodiesel and renewable fuel markets increasingly require feedstocks to be traceable, auditable and certified against recognised sustainability standards. Asiana SG is positioned to source feedstocks that satisfy the certification requirements of the three principal global frameworks:
ISCC EU
European Union — RED II. Required for feedstocks entering the EU biodiesel, HVO and SAF supply chain. Mandates GHG savings, land use compliance and chain-of-custody documentation.
Asiana SG sources UCO, POME, EFB Oil and PFAD from ISCC EU-certified suppliers across China, Indonesia and Malaysia. Full chain-of-custody documentation available.
ISCC PLUS
Global — circular economy and bio-based markets. Extends ISCC EU principles to non-EU markets including chemical, plastics and advanced biofuel applications.
Sourcing available for clients requiring ISCC PLUS certification across waste oil and palm derivative categories for non-EU and advanced application markets.
INS
Italy — Italian National Sustainability framework under RED II. Required for biofuel feedstocks entering the Italian market to qualify for incentive schemes and blending mandates.
Asiana SG is familiar with INS certification requirements and can facilitate sourcing of feedstocks compliant with the Italian sustainability framework, including relevant GHG default values and traceability documentation.
EPA RFS
United States — EPA Renewable Fuel Standard. Governs qualifying feedstocks for US biodiesel and renewable diesel markets. Requires 50%+ lifecycle GHG reductions and feedstock eligibility under defined pathways.
UCO, animal fats and select waste oils sourced through Asiana SG's Asian network qualify under EPA-approved feedstock pathways. Sourcing support available for US-bound renewable fuel producers and RIN-generating blenders.
Asiana SG does not itself hold sustainability certifications as a brokerage. However, the firm works exclusively with certified and certifiable suppliers where clients require compliance, and provides full advisory support on certification pathways, documentation requirements and approved feedstock categories under each framework.
